Stacey and Philippe started Oneka in 2007, out of necessity as much as anything else. She had lived with eczema for more than twenty years and he had been allergic to synthetic fragrance since childhood, so they began making their own. In 2013 they bought the land that became the Oneka farm, certified organic by Ecocert the following year and run on permaculture principles. The botanicals in these bottles are grown there. They became a B Corp in 2019, and describe themselves as guardians of their water sources, aiming to leave their place on earth in better shape than they found it.
